The Best of Bulgaria
Several weeks back, a couple of friends and I were on vacation in Bulgaria. Since we’ve heard nothing but interesting stories of this south-eastern European country from our friends who have made the journey there, we decided to make a trip there ourselves to see what the fuss is about. We agreed to fly to Bulgaria in June as we have been told that it was the best time to visit the place from a scenic and cuisine point of view. As we arrived at Sofia Airport, we immediately went to an internet café to search for nearby rent-a-car shops as we believe the best way to experience a foreign country was to go about it ourselves.
During our search, we came across a site named avtorentacar, which had a summary of basic rules for driving in Bulgaria and we were surprised as the rules were quite different compared to our local ones. We managed to locate a car rental shop in Sofia called “SAVOY RENT A CAR” where we got ourselves a Nissan X-Trail. We spent our 1st day in Sofia where we visited the Russian churches and the Bulgarian History Museum. We even got a chance to sip some espresso in on the open-air bars near City Garden. We ended the night with dinner at a local restaurant called Beyond the Alley. We started our 2nd day at 6am as we wanted to catch the early morning service at Rila Monastery which is a site listed under UNESCO. We then had lunch at Drushliavitsa restaurant, which was quite close to the monastery. After that, we headed south to Melnik where we did some wine sampling. Day 3 started out with a morning drive to the heritage village of Kovachevitsa. We stopped by at Leshten for lunch before continuing our journey.
When we arrived at the village, we were amazed by the architectural style of the buildings which remained till this day. As the area was surrounded by canyons, crystal clear rivers and thick forests, we were treated to one of the best scenic views in Bulgaria. We spent our 4th day heading back to Sofia where we did some last minute souvenir shopping and sightseeing. We retired to bed early as we had an early flight the next morning. At the end of our trip, we only had this to say about Bulgaria – truly mesmerizing. And if given the chance, we would definitely visit this wonderful country again in the future.

August 11 2008 – Online in-car audio accessory retailer Powernetshop.at (JL Audio) has today predicted a dramatic rise in demand for high quality vehicle audio systems as consumers revolt against the quality of the current products hitting the mainstream.
With the market for cheaper import systems growing steadily over the last three years, many audio retailers have updated their product catalogues accordingly, delivering a lower quality of audio to the market, and consumers have until now seemingly accepted the poorer standard on offer.

For the Love of Speedy Luxury
Okay, like many hot blooded youngsters out there, I have a taste for speed. And like many speed loving youngsters, I can’t afford nice wheels. Heck, I can’t even afford a sporty steering wheel. For me, I prefer luxury cars that goes fast. Yeah, I’m the classy-sporty kind of person. Kind of like Paris Hilton jogging in Juicy Couture, if you get my drift. That enough for me to rent a comfortable apartment in New York city for at least two years, inclusive of utility bills and food. I guess the rational behind the price tag is the fact that the Audi S3 features a sports model with excellent suspension attribute offered by greater aluminium content. The spring and damper settings has been revised while the power steering was modified for optimum feel and response. Toys for rich boys and girls. All I can afford is probably the miniature version that kids play with.

Guess what? I was browsing for info about cars (since I’m planning to get a secong-hand one) and I just found out that the Volvo S70 uses the same sheet metal like Volvo S60 and the grilles and front bumpers are actually just slightly varied.
